Assistance...For Us and For You...
This page will discuss ways in which you can help us...and then we move on to how we can help you. How can we help you keep your pet? Would you like a good site on training assistance or do you have questions on your dog's health? Read on! Not everyone wants to get involved in the same way. On this page we present different options to encourage others to get involved in the cause of Cocker Spaniel Rescue. Here's how you can help: Volunteer Your Time
Contact us to find out how you can help with rescue.
We need experienced or willing people to do homechecks and reference checks, especially outside of the Lower Mainland. Sometimes this involves a local phone call, or going to visit the prospective new owners to do yard checks, etc. Make a DonationSince we are now a registered Non-Profit Charity in British Columbia, we are able to issue tax receipts. Also, donations of food, and new or gently used doggy items are well received. You could also commit to saving the money from pop cans and bottles. Encourage your dog-loving friends and relatives to do the same. To make a monetary donation, you can send a cheque to CSRBC at our
address here. For our donors, please click on the CanadaHelps button above. Canadians have the ability to print off their tax receipt instantly Visit our Resources Page to meet our other friends and supporters! Foster A Cocker SpanielWithout your help, we can’t do this. Foster homes are the life blood of any dog rescue and CSRBC desperately needs help in this area. Most times we can’t tell you how long it would be. Some dogs are only in care for a couple of months, some for much longer. Some dogs need medical care, some dogs need to learn to trust again. All of them need love. I won’t lie. Fostering is one of the hardest things you will ever do. You are expected to bring a dog into your home, teach it manners, feed it, show it love and then when the time comes, you help it move into a new and forever home. Our hearts break every single time that we let a dog leave our care. But we do it because there are other dogs needing us. So if you can open your heart and your home, please let us know. CSRBC will provide all food and vet care. We also have the assistance of a trainer, if it becomes necessary. Please contact us at rescue@csrbc.org for a foster application. The gift you receive is in knowing that you have helped save a life. Can We Help You keep your Pet?If you are considering giving up your pet, please read the Can We Help You Keep Your Pet? article on the wonderpuppy.net site prior to contacting us. These links will open in a new window. Before you make the final decision to give up your cocker, especially if you don't intend
to contact us first, please watch this video.
It may help you to make up your mind. Assistance Program PoliciesIf you require financial assistance for necessary medical treatment for your Cocker Spaniel, we may be able to assist you. We cannot usually fund 100% but, upon approval, will help as much as we can.
